HardTop for S2000, San Diego
Hey Folks,
Would like to get the word out that my OEM hardtop was stolen this weekend. The window was smashed in and nothing else was stolen but the top. I've been a member on this site for a long time and always found the people on the forums and in the clubs to be genuinely nice people. I know the clubs have grown and I haven't been active in the last few years but I'm hoping that the same caliber people still exist in the S2000 community. If anyone in the San Diego/ LA area suddenly sees a hardtop for private sale could you forward along the info? Thanks much,
Jeh

They didn't take your seats? That most likely means another s2k owner did it. I can't believe we have that type of scum lurking around in our community now

This brings up a question I have. Is there anyway/or product sold that secures the top and can prevent a theft?
I agree, definitely a planned job. Probably someone that lives nearby and knows that I was parking in a general area. Wouldn't you know, I bought the car in 2002 and never used the hardtop until a few months ago. I just hadn't had time to set the hoist up in the new garage yet. It had been on the car for a few months and I generally park it on the street because I have another car in the garage. I figured the hardtop would deter thieves...
Well, I'll just be keeping my eye out for S's with hardtops. They aren't that common in SoCal
