Default Hardtop trim question/pictures?

Has anyone ever painted their hardtop side trims a different color (other than black)?
My car is getting a full respray early next year, it's imola orange with a berlina black hardtop currently but I want the hardtop to match the car so it's getting some orange paint as well.

Right now the hardtop side trims are painted black just like the hardtop itself, which (to me) looks better/cleaner compared to unpainted trims on a berlina black hardtop.
Would it look good if I have the trims resprayed in orange as well? Or should I just leave them in black? I tried google but couldn't seem to find any examples (which might be an indication it will look odd?)

I’d leave them black. Contrast is good.

I seen one s2000 with them colour matched silver and it looked great, I wanted to do that to my car when I had my hardtop but decided against it simple for the reason they may chip from road debris and then it will reveal the underneath colour over time.

BTW I have one spare passenger side hardtop metal trim if anyone wants one.

Thanks! I think I'll just have them sprayed in orange as well.
If it looks odd I can still wrap them in a black vinyl I guess.

It'll probably good, like a black top on a black car does.

Does anyone know what the oem hardtop black trim material is around window? I'm planning to do some paint correction and this unpainted piece that has some fine scratches. I wanted to try and correct but afraid of damaging.

Thanks!

If I remember it correctly, on my hardtop, the trim was not painted black, it was just black rubber/plastic or some kinda material. The trim itself was smooth. So, if you paint it. it might not last and could have an adverse effect in the long run due to weather conditions.
