Default Hardtop Wind Noise

To those with hardtops, do you have any wind noise? Specifically, do you have wind noise that comes from the bottom rear corner of the side windows? I just installed my hardtop and I have wind noise at approx 60 mph. I have tried to readjust the top to correct this but no luck yet. It seems as though the hardtop on the driver's side needs to shift toward the front of the car but I don't know how to shift it up. The front locks are matched up perfectly and there are no gaps in the rear seals.

Is this wind noise normal? Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Got mine a month ago and did notice that leak at exact same place you mentioned...only on drivers side but hardly noticeable at all. I just roll down window all the way on the freeway and that wind noise stops. Other than that then it's just regular wind rush.

Someone pointed me to another thread that shows my problem. On the drivers side the weatherstripping on the hardtop does not meet up with the weatherstripping attached to the car. However, on the passenger side they match up perfectly. Has anyone else had this problem. Supposedly the dealer ordered a part and corrected it. Anyone else know of this?

I don't believe 2002's have that problem. I checked that same post when I got mine thinking it was that too but no gap in mine. Rolling down my window on the freeway makes that tiny hissing sound disappear. Is yours really noticeable?

I actually have that gap. I just discovered that I was shipped a hardtop for a 2000 model. I'm not sure yet if there is a difference in the years.

i may have already posted in the other thread.....

but, it's just an adjustment issue....either the top is NOT sitting equally left to right....or the rear latches are sitting too high (and therefore the back of the top is sitting to high, causing a gap where the windows should meet the underside of the H/T.....

look at the pics in the thread and read it. Apparently there is a part to correct this.

Supposedly the part he ordered is the same weather strip that the top came with. All he's really doing is repositioning it from what the factory did.
