Default hardware for hardtop

I am pretty close to buying a hardtop and I'm wondering if I'll need to pick up any hardware from hardtopguy? I think that the seller has the defroster parts less the on/off switch. Does the kit for the hardtop come with anything that I won't have if I'm only buying the top? The seller took it off of his '01 and I have the same mw. Thanks for your help.

Its very important that the seller gives you the left and right side catchers. Those are probably the most important things you need to get. They're not included with the hardtop installation kit but instead are included with the hardtop itself when bought brand new. The catchers are pretty expensive if you buy them separately, about 400 from hardtop guy. So if you think you're getting a good deal on a used hardtop, make sure the hardtop comes with the left and right side catcher. You also need the hardtop strikers but those are pretty cheap (40).

You should just ask hardtopguy. I believe the hardware varies depending on year model and VIN# for some.
