Has anyone else done this?

Default Has anyone else done this?

Has anyone else found the stock elbow rest pad in the center to be inadequate? Maybe I just have bony elbows but I felt that it just needed more padding in there! So last year I stuffed it full of nylon pillow fluff. It was pretty easy to do and now my elbow is happy! The back of the rest pops off with a firm tug and then I pulled back the leather from underneath , stuffed it like a turkey, and finally super-glued the leather back and snapped it back in place. It's been about six months now and no problems yet, only a well cushioned elbow pad to suit my power shifting!

That is a really good idea. My elbow seldom rests because of all the shifting but that would be an excellent idea for road trips. I went to Atlanta and back in March and would've gotten some use out of that for sure.

I don't have a digital camera but I'll see if I can borrow one soon. It doesn't really look much different than stock, just about a 1/4 inch taller now. It's mostly one of those things that you feel and don't see, kinda like my cross brace!

I think it depends on how tall you are. I am 5'8'' and I have no quarrels.
