I'm planning to buy a hardtop from a whole saller on ebaymotors. Someone from my bay area forums informed me that someone got a hardtop off of ebay and posted it with pictures in this forum.

He said the buyer's ht was all banged up/ glass broken after delivery. He didn't specify if it was private seller or whole seller on ebay.

Is this topic around and still up?

Shipping problems anyone?

 

Have you looked at http://www.HardTopGuy.com. He has the best prices on New hardtops. If shipping in the OEM crate, the odds of damage in shipping is greatly reduced. Now I know of at least one he shipped that was damaged in transit, but Jeff stepped up and shipped a replacement and delt with the damaged HT himself. So sometime paying a little more pays in the lonf run for peice of mind.

 

Yeah I considered going with hardtopguy.com and had already talked to Jeff a few months back.

 

I remember that thread... it was a dented hardtop wasn't it? because it was poorly packed...

Not worth it to save a few hundred bucks imo.
