ok last night i was driving and we turned the radio off so that my friend could talk on the cell phone, well the next thing that i know there is this kinda popping, klinking, slushing noise that sounded as though it was coming from the back right side of the car......at first i thought that it was the gas tank but the tank is on the drivers side....this has happened to me once before about a month ago and last night was the only other time that this has happened. have any of you guys experienced this or may know what it is? thanks greatly

Can you provide more details? Does this happen at a particular RPM level, were you turning when the noise occured, or if the noise is constantly there? etc etc

ps: maybe your ears were ringing from all that vtecing

And it happens to me all the time. It is most noticeable when brake hard to a complete stop or go really really slow over bumps.

I had a clunking noise coming from the rear end (behind right ear) when starting from a stop or coming to a stop. The dealer called the tech line and they suggested repacking the axle bearing with grease. They did that and I haven't heard it again.

YeloS2000ShowGrl,

Since the fuel tank is not far behind the driver's side between the driver's seat and the trunk space, I suspect you're hearing fuel sloshing around.

BTW, are you planning to make the New Hope meet on June 23rd? ( http://www.s2000online.com/forums/showthre...?threadid=15089 ) We may have some other women owners there, and Charlie, who doesn't live far from Mount Holly, is definitely coming, and would no doubt be happy to team up for the drive over there.

I have a question, how come there are only 2 reported cases of this slushing noise so far? Are our cars "defective"?

i imagine that it is important whether the top is up or not too...
top up you hear a lot more than top down.
i have only had my top up once or twice while driving and i always notice lots of strange noises.
best solution is top down-
gets rid of all unwanted noises!!

I've notice a similar one some time ago. Someone said it could have also been the result of the seatbelt recal.
