Seems a little odd to me to only wrap some panels in fake carbon fiber, since there is no added performance value.
There's no performance value to any vinyl wrapping -- not sure what your point is regarding performance.
Point is that carbon fiber parts are ostensibly installed for the purpose of weight savings, i.e. Added performance. Therefore wrapping a hood or a fender in something that only looks like a piece of carbon fiber just gives you a mismatched fender, without any of the benefits of actual carbon fiber (which as you stated is negligible on an s2k in the first place). Obviously i wasn't implying that there is a performance value to wrapping, which is why it just seems silly to me to wrap it in fake CF instead of just a solid color.

Whats fake?

Actually it won't fade after a year.

Carbon parts are expensive and don't remove much weight vs. aluminum.

For looks only, there isn't anything wrong with wrapping a car.

I never said there was anything wrong with it, as long as it's all solid. I would like to see an s2k wrapped entirely in the carbon look vinyl, or any other solid color. But that is probably because I think the only CF parts that look good unpainted are hoods, so I suppose I am biased. To put my ranting to rest, good luck to anyone who wraps their car, looking forward to seeing the results!

I was quoted $1200 taxes in for the whole car.
