Default Has your S2000 lived up to your expectations?

Often when you purchase something, especially a car, you have certain expectations. Has your S2000 been everything that you expected it to be when you signed on the dotted line. Has it been better? Has it been worse? Why?

For me, it has been much better. I get much more enjoyment from owning and driving it than I ever expected. It is more fun to own and drive than I thought it would be. And, it gets better each day. Additionally, I never thought that I'd get so involved with S2kI and S2KCA as I have (I didn't even know that they existed). I never imagined meeting so many people and making so many friends.

How about you?

I agree with you! Everytime I drive my S I have the cheesest(sp) smile on me that won't go away. I love it when I pull up to a light and drop the top. I know everyone is looking at me and the smile only gets bigger. The car is pure fun to drive and was more then I expected, which is a plus on every level.

Happy V--

When I first test drove the car, I was flooring it the whole time so I didn't really have a sense of how much torque the car had during normal driving. Needless to say, I was a bit disappointed to learn that I had to do a 6,000RPM clutch drop to fly off the line. However, each day goes by, I love driving this car more and more. I don't care about the 0-60 anymore. I love the AWESOME handling and the high revving nature of the car- not to mention it looks sharp. So has it met my expectations? Yes, and even more.

One of the best purchases of my lifetime.

I enjoyed my Miata for a dozen years, but the S2000 is a totally different, visceral experience. It is perhaps by way of contrast that I find the S2000 so amazing.

In a long line of cars that I've owned, the S2000 is far and away my favorite. And, it has surely met or exceeded my expectations.

I expected the car to be able to better handle my bad driving at the limit. The car is confidence inspiring during normal driving but when you push it you have to be careful not to f#ck up because it will bite you. My AutoX and Track experience is growing but I'm in no position to tell Honda how to build a better car. I'm fine with 16" wheels but I would have liked them wider. The @ss is a little to happy...
That said, I can't imagine being this happy with any other car. If my S was stolen of demolished I would replace it with another S2000. MORE FUN TO DRIVE THAN ANYTHING I HAVE EVER DRIVEN!

What a silly question! Of course the S2000 has met and exceeded all my expectations! I thought nothing could replace the happiness of driving my del Sol but my love for the S2000 is growing more and more each day. It is still a little heartbreaking to go out to the parking lot after work everyday and see the S2000 instead of my (very modded very custom) del Sol, but I'm sure that with the passage of time I'll fall in love all over again. Of course, if I still had the del Sol I would definitely want to have the horsepower and low end torque of the F20C in there instead of the original engine.

It goes through summer's heat.
It goes through winter's coldest cold.
It goes through rain.
It goes through snow.
It goes through ice.
It goes through dirt.
It goes through gravel, too.
It has NEVER NOT gone.
I can drive it like a Civic if I want to or I can drive it like, well................., like an S2000. PLUS, nothin's broke! It all still works just fine. I've owned lots of cars. This one does all that I want or need it to do. In this, it has exceeded my expectations.

Before owning this car I had much expectations of this car.. As a new owner I have soon discovered that my expectations have been far exceeded.. I feel that I am appreciating the car more and more as I drive it.... As a first time manual driver, my only regret is that I will be spoiled by the excellent shifter that this car is equiped with.
