So I just got off of a 12HR shift. Im tired but Im super excited for my drive home. I pull up to a light and I see a semi modded TL tailing me. At the next stop light, he cuts off the car in the lane next to me leaving us side by side at the light. We're there sitting at the light and starts blasting techno music. He tried egging me on and started revving. I cant get caught doing anything reckless because of my nursing license so I let it go. When the light turns green he goes WOT and cuts me off as I make my way onto the freeway. I think he didnt know the area too well cause he ended up biting the curb and popping his rear passenger tire. I motioned to pull over to help him out and he decided to start screaming "f*^# ur honda." Why do so many people hate on the S2k. Cant we all just appreciate the cars for the marvels they are. Do you guys get lots of haters when u guys cruise?

 

i had a guy in a pickup truck spit on my windshield while driving in the opposite direction the other day. my car is randomly spit on about once every 3 months.

0 yrs, 11 days (rookie, lol) ... hate to say it, but it kind of comes with the territory. dont let it get you down. just always be humble, i suppose (sounds like you already are). I think it also has a LOT to do with where you live. LA, NYC, DC and FL are pretty s2000 heavy, so people dont seem to hate quite as much. The car seems to be less common in other areas, and I think thats where most of these bad encounters come from.

 

Okay, first of all he shouldn't be yelling any obscenities about your car since he himself owns a Honda. If anything, you're the one with the sports car and he's trying to race YOU. Second, he's playing techno music? I'm not even gonna go there. And then finally this guy hits the curb? And you tried to help him out? I had to read this twice to make sure I got it straight...some people are just idiots, it doesn't matter what car they drive.

Im in LA county. Theres s2k's everywhere. I seem to find em more now that I have mine. Before I got my s2k I always admired the ones that I saw. I just dont understand people sometimes. Just two nights ago at the same stop light a Ferrari 355 Berlinetta Coupe pulled up next to me and instead of trying to race me, he asked me if he I wanted to trade and we exchanged admiration for each others cars. I guess it does come with the territory.

I let my sister take my car out to run errand and when she came back, she said that everyone looked at her like she was a huge jerk lol so I guess the invisible "ASSHOLE" bumper stickers already comes pre-installed on the s2k's

that asswipes' action toward you had nothing to do with your S2000. It had everything to do with him being an immature douche. He'd do the same to a Corvette, or a Supra. Dont get all crazy about S2000 haters.
