Default Hauling logs in your S2000.

Hey, what's up everybody?

I've got a question and I need some advice. I don't know how many longboarders are out there, but does anybody have any solutions as to how one would go about hauling a 9'4" in your S2K? I've been looking around for a car rack that would accomodate this feat, and I haven't been able to find one that would seem compatible with an S2K!! I've looked at Yakima, Thule, and a whole bunch of other rack manufacturers to no avail. There's been days when I have been desparate and I've just kind of wedged my longboard into the passenger side of my car. It's quite a sight...kinda looks like the Flinstones when they drop that huge dinosaur t-bone in Fred's car. I need help...please...

If this is a joke:

If your serious:
Dude...9'4"...that's only 4 feet shorter than the length of the whole car from front to back...I don't think you could ever get a rack to hold that for an s2k...I just don't understand how you physically could...you can't put it sideways because it would go longer than the width of the car...and you can't you can't put a rack on the convertable top...duh...so it's really not possible...

Please god say this is a dumb joke

Unfortunately, this is not a joke and I am sincerely asking for advice on this matter. Granted, it is pretty obvious that the S2K might not be the right car to be hauling longboards, I do have my needs...i'm a desparate, desparate man... Anybody have any ideas?

I can think of a few sponsors with their thinking caps on already.

I kindof had this issue getting my snowboard around... but that's still about 4 feet shorter than your board. Considering I had an issue with a snowboard, I would think your task to be almost impossible. The only thing I can think of is to hook it onto the SIDE of the car somehow... like something that hooks into the trunk in the back, the side view mirror or passenger door in the middle, and into the hood well in front?

The coolest way to haul a snowboard would be to mount it on the trunk lid like a spoiler! That would be cool.

I thought about hooking it on to the side, but that creates a lot of concerns for me including possible damage to the side of the car.

I was also thinking of possibly obtaining a universal bike rack for the trunk, latching one end of the board to the rack and then adding removable foam padding to the top of the windshield and strapping the front of the board to the windshield somehow...an advatage to this option would be having the first S2K with a T-Top. Ha-ha-ahem...ok that wasn't that funny...

If you're by yourself, it should be okay in the passenger seat, as long as your top is down. Just buckle up!

Shows how my priorities have changed now that I'm getting older. I used to shop for a car and would make sure I could fit surfboards inside the car. Now due to my job, I'm landlocked for over a year so no more surfing for me unless I drive to VA Beach or OBX.
