I started my car 10 mins ago,(temp now is very low, near freezing point). When I was stepping the accelarator, the pedal felt VERRRYYYY stiff. I had no problem accelerating(but did not had the chance to go full throttle), but the stiffness was really out of the ordinary.

I thought it was my imagination and let it off at that. But then after a while the whole thing became normal again. That is, the pedal stiffness is like how it is usually.

Does anyone have an explanation for this? My car has 5000 miles on it and this is the first time that this problem occur. Should I bring the car to Honda? I doubt they can reproduce the problem and it would therefore be a waste of my time,"sorry we found no problem with your car. Bring it back again when you experience it."

Do you have the floor mats? Maybe it slipped under the pedal?
