Have we run out of good stuff to talk about?

It just seems like most of the good topics have been covered! I love comming here but it seems like its getting a little dry.

All it could be is that people are packing their cars away for the winter and have lost a bit of interest.

No way we are out of topics. People must just be busy.

Here's something to think about Pinky, have you tried to create your mod for a head unit capable of playing MP3's? I guess there's an Aiwa and a Kenwood out that'll do it. What about integrating a DVD, GPS unit into the car a'la Japanese models? What would the dash controls do then?

I think a lot of the "veteran owners", at least in our area, are thinking of putting their cars to bed and pursueing other interests until the weather improves. Bear in mind that the 2001's are just about to hit so we should see an influx of new blood (and topics) soon. Much of it will be a replay for those of us who have been around a while but it is always interesting to see the car through fresh eyes. Maybe the meet on 11/11 will generate some fresh enthusiasm among the veterans.

Dood 11/11 it snowed yesterday! Unless you were out of the state you should know that. I was driving in that and needed depends almost I was so worried. Though its so easy to sit there and spin the tires!

I was so worried that the back end would slip out early!

The 11'th better hurry up and get here I gonna be throwing on my snowies soon.

Yeah, once the 2001's arrive it'll be flooded again with stuff from new owners (like me!)...just a random point, don't you hate it when people call it an S2001?

Pinky, I am hoping that 11/11 will NOT be a repeat of yesterday. Cold is bad enough with these tires but snow is OOTQ (out of the question). As soon as we get back from the 11/11 run (if we can go) I will put the snows on too. Oh well, spring is coming - just not fast enough.

does anyone have pics of the japanese s2000 with the navigation screen and display?
Where would such a thing fit on our tiny dashes?

which units would work?
Pinky?

BTW, the dash controls are absolutely wonderful. thanks for a great job.

I'll be at starlander on friday afternoon to get the rest of my alarm done.

I've noticed that board traffic tends to follow a predictable pattern and rythym.

Slow on the weekends (surprise!), then gets busier until about Thursday afternoon, when it drops off again. Busier later in the day than earlier, I think.

C3 must chart this stuff and might be able to provide some kind of a traffic profile.

I'm planning on attending the 11/11 meet. But, if there is snow or cold rain, I won't be attending. Hate to spin out due to inclement weather. If it is cold, but dry, will be dressing warm to drop the top. If it's real bad, will don the ski garb...

Pinky, as I recall, the navigation screen is in the center of the dash above the radio. There may already be a cut out in the metal for it. The screen itself is about 4-5" square if memory serves me correctly.
