Is the air being drawn in from the left side of the engine bay, through that green filter? Looks like it. Wouldn't be a true CAI then, would it?

It looks like the popular filter type that HKS uses, but many companies in Japan use the same "type" filter. Could be a cold air, don't think there's any evidence either way in this pic. The heat shield is a nice touch, but looks way out of place. As a matter of fact, this is a down right ugly bay in my opinion. Oh well. Where did you get it?

I think that aluminium sheild bends down on the left to isolate the filter from the engine bay. The airflow over the radiator (this is how air currently enters the stock airbox)is directed to the left (as we see it) to where the airfilter is. Kinda CAI I guess.

A fully enclosed box would be better. Hang on, that's what it comes with standard!

it's the same design concept as comptech's air box for their s/c, except comptech's air box is sealed, and this one is not.

i wonder how close to MG's CAI design this one is? if i was to design one, that's probably the route i'd go.

BTW, look at the heat shield's upper portion: it's got this rubberized lining, my guess is that really seals that portion of the engine bay away from the heat dissipating from the radiator.

i like it (it'll be loud too!). who's selling it? or maybe it was a pure custom job?

This has got to be a boosted vehicle why else would the piping bend like that? Defintely a HKS Super Mega Flow Intake at the front. HKS turbo kit for the S2K? They probably just borrowed the piping from another kit.

I thought the same thing. Why the bend? Could be a 'tuned length' thing.

But I've also heard HKS are developing a turbo for the S. At least that's what the boys at BD4's told me and they've already turbo'd one S with a custom kit.
