Default Having a "mod" only forum

What are your thoughts of s2ki having a mod only forum? That way, people like me can avoid it and many other interested parties can start threads on it and trade secrets.

I think this is a good idea, something which I've long thought missing from the site, but then again thought that Under the Bonnet was maybe the right forum for mods.

Good idea!

I like that idea because some mods are cosmetic not just performance hardware related like many of the other forums.

I would really like to see everyone contribute so we can all make informed decisions.

What exactly do you want?

Isn't UTH a "mod" forum?

Not really. Modding includes andy and all body, suspension, breaking, transmission, and engine changes that are different from stock. UTH can include any problem one is having with the engine. At least that's my understanding.

UTH is for the discussion of anything technical. So I guess body kit discussions might not fit, but any questions about "modifying" for performance tend to be there.

Can you explain better what exactly you want this forum for? I guess I am confused?

Hmm ok.

I think the term "modders" is confusing. I would classify "modders" as the the UTH crowd.

But I am all for making an additional forum.

Can anyone come up with a more clear name?

I agree with everything except the need for a new forum. UTH is "supposed" to be for what you describe and S2000 Talk for all the trivial stuff you mention. We can instruct the moderators to move the non-technical talk to S2K Talk because really it should be there anyway. I can't see the problem with talk of mods sharing space with talk of maintenance and repair. There isn't that much traffic.
