Head Gasket Dry Rot?
I was chatting with a friend of mine who has a '93 Viper. We were discussing our respective "winter storage" techniques. I told him I don't start my car during the winter based on advice here. The logic being that the oil drains into the oil pan and upon each subsequent start-up you expereince metal-to-metal wear. Bad for motor. He on the other hand starts his during the winter because he read on the Viper forum that there is a risk of head gasket dry rot for "garage queen" cars. Anyone have thoughts on this? xviper, how about you, since you've had both?
