Default Head light mis-alignment?

Hi, I just got the car a month ago, and I noticed that the head lights do not shine at the same level. It seems like the left side shine lower than the right! Is that normal or should I go to the dealer and let them fix it?

that is how it is...the right plateau is higher so you have higher visibility without blinding the driver in front of you...hence the left beam is lower than the right...i had the JDM headlights before and the beams were reversed so the beam was higher on the left and the drivers in front of me were not too happy

at freeway speed...70-80-90 20-30 feet infront... just not enough time to react
to any road debris

Weird, I have a MY05 and I thought they were out of adjustment as well. I think I am going to raise both of them just a bit, although they are bright they do not project very far.

mine are definitely out of alignment. when i got my car back from the shop, they had attempted to "level-out" the lights. so instead of having a notch in th emiddle, there are two notches with an attempt at leveling out the entire horizon. and they shine way too high...on the highway, i can see my lights bouncing up and down off of exit signs way in front of me.

does the dealer charge anything for fixing this? i saw something online, but i don't know if my messing with the screws can do harm on accident.

The answer is "It depends". If your car ls LHD (steering wheel on the left, such as US, Canada, and some European countries) then this is normal. If your car is RHD (steering wheel on the right, such as Japan, Australia and some European countries), then it is not normal and you should have it adjusted.

BUT, even if your car is LHD but you are driving in an area that is primarily RHD (or vice versa, such as you bring a US car to Japan or a British car to Canada), then you should still get it adjusted even though it is nornal when the car is at home. This is because the headlights will blind on-coming traffic when used in the new environment.
