well the car is going to be tuned either way, so the question now is J's racing, mugen or Rick's. Any recomendations (I am leaning towards the J's, but wondering if the price difference is really worth it)

A few years ago, a bunch of guys over at HondaTech did a header comparison for the ITR. Same day, same car, same dyno ... with like 10-12 different headers. It was great to be able to see what each header did in terms of power and overall gains.

Maybe something like this could be organized at one of the larger s2ki events??!!?? Of course the drawback is the time involved swapping headers on and off a car all day long, dyno cost, etc. You might be able to ask for small cash donations to cover the dyno time.

Just some thoughts.

I know this one is not on your original list, but bulletproof has a really good price for the Tracy header. I think $900 shipped in the US until Sept. 1. If I was going to buy right now, I would buy that one or Rick's because it's a copy of the Mugen 2.0 liter. So you get the same gains.

Anyone know how much the J's header weighs?

With a Toda header and testpipe, I got about 10hp across the entire powerband, so it's hard to say how much the Toda by itself yielded. Of note, someone recently dynoed the ASM header on his supercharged S2K (I don't know anything about ASM other than its JDM price tag is rather hefty), and the results were less than stellar. I'll try to find the link.

edit: ASM header dyno
