Default headlight aim question

This morning I changed my bulbs to 8000k and now it seems from far away that driver side headlight shines more than the passenger side. Did I put the bulb in the wrong way? Is there a certain way that the bulb should be put in? Its driving me crazy! I couldnt have messed up the headlight aim that easily...

no the way the light is aimed.....b4 it was straight and now the passenger side is lower the driver's side. Also when you looking at the car from far away..you notice the driver's side headlight more because of the aim. Basically it doesnt look even.

Looks like the beam pattern's upside down. Which bulbs did you get? Poor quality aftermarket ones have a tendency to provide poor aim.

i would say its the bulbs. i remember when i replaced my Hi Beams with aftermarket ones and they would aim all ****ed up. put the stock ones back in and it was prefect. stick with OEM imo

I've been building retrofit HID projector lamps for Honda Preludes, Civics and Toyotas for about 5 years now and your problem is ENTIRELY the bulbs.

Answer these questions:

1. What kind of bulbs did you get? They MUST be "D2S" to seat in the projectors correctly

2. WHY did you buy 8000K bulbs? 8000K put out about 40% less light than the OEM 4300K that came in the S2000 lamps. Most people don't realize this but the higher the Kelvin (K) number the closer to "black light" you get and therefor the less actual usable light is produced.

3. There are no high quality "OEM" bulbs made at 8000K color temp. I'll bet you $10 those bulbs were made in China, Hong-Kong or Korea. Real HID bulbs are made in Germany or Japan.

I agree with JLude - you have a bad bulb for sure - I don't think you can seat the bulb but one way - it looks like the passenger bulb is just defective. Imo for best light if you want a whiter/bluer light go 5-6k and no higher - everything higher is too dim.

Where did you get the bulbs?
