I have a friend who works with fabricating plastics and soft metal from scratch.

I met up with him a couple days ago and we have been talking about doing a couple projects together.

Well here it is. The prototype will be available within the next couple of weeks and yes the color of the lid matches the body color.


But now that him and I have committed to manufacturing these for the S2000 and a few others, I want to see the interest level from all of you...

They will look exactly like the ones in the picture.

The cost has not been determined yet, but is estimated to be within the vicinity of $125/each. But if we put together a couple of group buys, we can absolutely bring the price neer the $100 vicinity.

that makes no sence because mg racing got them for 185 for the pair. remember when you ready to sell you must be a promoter here in order to do that

 

I'm definately interested in something like this if the price is right, but the estimated price you quoted is higher than I'd be willing to pay.

I appreciate you bringing these valid points to my attention...

All I am trying to do is see the demand, similar to what others have done, when developing/manufacturing duplicate products...I envy and fully support them for that.

What I am trying to do is similar to what they have done, is to make available some more choices of the same product, and at the same time offer them at a reduced cost, so they maybe more affordable.

Lastly, if I do become a seller on the board, I will absolutely become a sponsor. I am fully aware of these guidelines. All I a doing right now is toying with the idea.

I will absolutely try to work with the price, the earlier costs I purposed were only estimates. I will be finalizing the final cost within a week or so.

Lastly we are toying with a couple of ideas on how have them match the body color and reduce the cost. We will test each concept and decide on the better option depending on numurious factors...

I'd be interested, but again like most 100 bucks is a bit much for this kind of mod. I think they look sharp, but I'd really only get them if they were pretty much cheaper. No offense or anything, you asked for the truth. Better then "SURE I'LL GET TWO, OR EVEN THREE!" <two months later> "Nah, I'm not really interested anymore." Right?
