My vote for Shadetree Mechanic of the Year goes to Shaner
By the way, are you going to have your car all put back together in time for Asheville? My guess is that a lot of people are going to look forward to seeing your car.

The lenses are "clearly" different...

I just wish we could find a source for these extremely thin cheap lenses (the US spec ones are MUCH higher quality)

The reason for the different patterns is that the US lenses also direct light sideways, since they also have to serve as side markers. Side markers are not required in Europe, so a clear lens with a yellow buld will do.

So, let me get this straight!
The difference between the U.S. and Euro. is the "cut-off" point and the aiming device?
I thought the Euro. clear lenses are suppose to be the same as the U.S.? That's why MG Racing is getting them from Euro. rather than from Japan!
Now this cut-off piece looks like the same as what's in the PIAA projector series lights. Basically, cutting off at horizontal the reflection of the bottom portion of the light. With the S2000 lights, there is a difference of cut-off angel from drivers side vs. passenger side? AND U.S. and Euro.???
Bottom line, Euro is NOT the exact SAME as U.S. (beside clear lenses)??? If we change the housing from U.S. to Euro, the light pattern is going to change???
Man, too confusing just to get rid of that stupid orange corner piece!

I'm sorry for confusing people. My reply was to the previous post showing the amber and white lenses explaining the different patterns in those.

I will post pictures of the European HID lenses/cutoff... it is the same as the US. So, to summarize:

Differences:

-corner diffuser... amber with more reflectors US, clear (white) with less reflectors + thinner Europe
-Aiming... US fixed screw, aiming motor Europe.

Everything else is the same. Incidentally, I have a friend in Switzerlad who ordered me two aiming motors that fit into that three-notched "mystery hole"... $70.00 a piece. Now I will be able to change the aim of my lights from the comfort of my driver's seat... just joking
