Hello all,

I'm an new 2004 owner and love the car so far. I have noticed that the HID headlights take some gettting used to for me as i have not had them before. I noticed that on the garage door or sides of building that the right headlight appears aimed higher than the left. Took it into the Dealer for adjustment and they said there was a service bulletin/notice about the headlight pattern and that it is normal w/o looking at my car. I have the notice but cannot figure out the picture, so i wanted to see what you folks know about the HID light pattern. Is this normal or was i given the dealership shuffle? Thanks. M

it's normal I believe.

 

Mine is similar to this and it's supposed to be that way. You want the beam lower on the left so oncoming traffic is not blinded.

Thanks for the quick replies. It makes sense the that the left is lower so as not to blind folks, would have never occurred to me. M

 

yep, it illuminates the side of the road, but doesn't blind anyone on the road.
