Headlight yellowing and cloudiness; Help!
Any product recommendations for my headlight units yellowing a little and looking a little cloudy? Oddly my '96 Accord headlights seem to have held up better over time...
I have been using a terry cloth towel with rubbing compound first, then another towel with Meguiar's PlastX which is finer to finish the lenses off. Any ideas of better/more effective methods?

its pretty simple to take off the oxidation.
-Tape off the area surrounding the headlights
-use sandpaper and start with 1000 grit, then finish off with 2000 grit. If the headlight has scratches, start with a courser grit.
-use an actual buffer and not one of those cheap orbital buffers and buff with a polishing compound

I think there was initially a UV coating on the housing that, if "buffed" off... would accelerate yellowing and aging of the plastic.
clear plastic polish will do it, mother/meg both makes a version of that stuff.
yeah, a buffer is needed, please do take off the headlight when you buff, you can burn the paint if your buffer is placed too long.
