Headlights
Does anyone know how to adjust the HID headlights lowered. I just took off the assembly to take out the orange turn signal cover, now when I put it back together it looks like the beam is aim higher than it was b4.
Thanks

I sent an e-mail to clearcorner.com about this couple weeks back.I asked for the cost of rebuilding the headlight assembly and possibility of making a replacement part for amber lens and selling it.
This was the response I got:
The good news is, we can help you and other S2000 owners with clearing your headlights/taillights. We spend a lot of time researching and developing our products. If we were to take on orders for the S2000, enthusiasts would be looking at a starting price of ~200-300 for the front headlights. This would involve dis-assembling them, replacing the amber lens with a clear lens, and cleaning up the headlights (if needed) by polishing them. We can also paint the inner trim peice body color (or other colors) if desired.
Tail lights would relatively be in the same in price range, since they are similar in design. Those lights would also be dis-assembled, modified, painted, polished -- whatever is desired to meet the owners needs for their custom application. I dont think we'de sell just the lenses unless they are VERY simple in design. Most lenses have some sort of bend to them and require further mounting, so I doubt we'de be able to sell just the lenses.
One interesting comment I wanted to make about the reflector is that it IS necessary. The reflector not only makes the car visible when off, but also helps difuse the light which is needed when signaling; otherwise, the light is just too bright and not dispersed, making it hard to see from certain angles and in poor weather conditions. Lights undergo severe testing and have to meet certain criteria before they get approved by the DOT and released for street use -- you cant just go removing lenses, frenels, and diffusers! =)
What I've gathered from this is that it is highly illegal to remove the orange turn signal cover, but then Euro/Jap clear corners are also illegal in U.S. so what the hell, remove them if you want to. But be willing to pay the fine and replace the orange cover everytime you get pulled over.
IMO, it's not worth it.
But Euro/Jap reflector with orange bulb under it, should fool most cops at night.

All U.S. cars must have yellow diffusers somewhere on the front of the car. New Z3 have them on the side of their front bumper.
But S2000 has no other turn signal besides the one in the headlight housing and the sidemarkers don't count.

The 2000+ Z3s don't have a yellow diffuser, the model years before those do it's a clear diffuser with an amber bulb. You can have clear lenses in the US, as long as the bulb is amber colored. I believe the Ford Focus has clear lenses with the amber bulb as well.
It took me 9 hrs none stop and 4 of my frenz to take it apart, take the orange piece out, paint the inside of the assembly body color and put it back on...The spray paint I spray on the assembly didn't exactly matched with the body color silver, but it was close. I actually like it that way because it shows them off more (slightly).
