i think it might be an 02+ thang. the interior is a lighter shade of black and there are silver parts to it ; such as the dash and the headunit. MY00-01 are straight black everywhere

Yep, '00 and '01 Had the same color plastic piece as the seat. I have red seats with red plastic parts. '02 and up have the silver ones.

There is no plastic on the back of the seats in the 08's. The front of mine are red leather, the backs are black leather to the top of the seat. The front and back leather is joined with red stitching. The helmet holes and mesh are gone as well. The roll hoops are encased in black plastic that also provides a mounting spot for four speakers. No silver plastic to be seen anywhere.

I really dug the seats on my 05, with the silver backing and headrest cutout with mesh. Very nice look. On my 08, not only is the cutout gone, but the headrest sticks up above the rollbar and looks retarded. I definitely liked the 05 seats better.

MY00 & 01 came with black or red plastic part depend on what color interior you have. MY02 and up till' the new design seat come with silver. period

Really? How much higher do they sit then the roll hoops? Are the 07's seats the same because I thought they were leather front and rear and looked to be thinner as well which made me really like them. I never noticed the height of the seatback though.

I think 07 is lower, but not sure. On my 08, they are about 1 to 1.5" higher than the roll hoops, and that's with the seats all the way back against the rear wall.
