Default Heard that new springs are coming to the USA!

Check this out...

Just got word that RS-R is bringing over their popular line of lowering springs! They are the RS-R Down SUS Lowering Spring! I asked to get some specs on the springs and this is what i got:

Front Rear
Lowering rates: 20mm/.8 inch 35mm/1.4 inch
Spring Rates: 4.68KG/262lbs 5.95KG/332lbs

stock spring rates 218lbs 291lbs

Now this means that you wont get that "rake" look that I have heard of with other springs, AND you will have just a bit stiffer ride than stock. Did some research on the ever popular KG/MM springs (great springs!) and found the spring rates to be much higher than the RS-R.

Would people be interested in this new spring?

thanks guys!

ya, coilovers are always the best.......

The RS-R coilovers are coming over soon...

But I think these coupled with koni shocks would be a great alternative!

I really interest in the springs since I don't have money to spend on coilover yet, and maybe Koni yellow later. Originally, I'm planning on getting a set of KG/MM, but this one sounds good too, and might be even more comparable with the stock shock.

Let us know how much will it be and thanks for the info.

just checked the MSRP and they are going for $269. I think KG/MM's go anywhere from $260-280, but not sure what the MSRP is.

Are the stock spring rates quoted from the 00-01 or the 02+?

Also, with stiffer springs, you need to make sure the shocks are well matched for it - unless all you want is looks or you really know what you are doing.

I just got my Koni's and my KG/MM Super Sport springs. The Super Sports are not quite as firm as the Race springs that most are buying. They also do not drop the car as much. I went with this set up since I will not be tracking my car and I do not want too much adjustability with my suspension(too many things to screw up).

KG/MM Super Sport:
15mm Lowering
7.1kg/mm - F
8.0 kg/mm - R
Primary 4.2 kg/mm F/R

I should have them on by this weekend. I will post before/after photos and my impressions.

Also, are you sure that these are the proper specs for the RS-R Springs? I think the stock springs are heavier than this.

RS-R Springs:
Front Rear
Lowering rates: 20mm/.8 inch 35mm/1.4 inch
Spring Rates: 4.68KG/262lbs 5.95KG/332lbs
