Default Heel toe shoes?

After the discussions on the heel toeing I tried it out a bit, but I have a helluva time feeling how hard I'm pressing the pedals.. I'm afraid I'll accidentally stomp on the gas or brake while trying to push the other pedal.

Question is this.. Do you need special shoes or will sneakers or dress shoes work just fine? Do any of you drive barefoot even?

Sandals don't work very well either. I sort of figured this out yesterday.

A less expensive alternative to special driving shoes (that are expensive and made from fire retardant material) are regular wrestling shoes. Check out your local Sports Authority or other sports shoe store - they range in price from $20 or so on sale up to $50-60.

You don't need any special shoes. Just take it easy with very slow movements. Practice were you can't do any damage until you get comfortable with it.

Barefoot, slippers, shoes, it doesn't matter, with a size 10 foot, it's easy to do in the S2k.

I haven't tried with high heels, ski's or diving fins yet.
