Hello
I do not know if this is the correct thread to posting this in. I am new to the forums. I am sorry if this is not in the right place. Right now I am in the process of looking for a car to buy. I will not buy the car till I can put down a down payment of almost 7K. (may 06) I am also going to need a decent amount of help from my parents. I am only 18 about to turn 19. I figured that I am sick of restoring cars. I want to start with something nice and start working on that. My last car was a 89 prelude SI. I have done a lot of work to it. When I bought the car it was about to die. I had fixed almost everything. But now I am going to sell it. I am about to head off to college, no need to take a car down that can not drive in snow. I also can not afford the insurance and parking policy. (I just take out a policy for the summer)
I am going to be a sophomore, and I can not keep driving around junkers. So I made a deal with my parents if I pull a 3.7 overall this year that they will double what ever I save. So I am looking around a $15K car. So I started to shop around in the Import market. I have narrowed it down to 2 cars. The one car is an s2000. The other is a 5th gen prelude. They both have there big strong points, and they both have there weak points. This is not a thread to compare, but just to say hey. I want to gather as much possible knowledge before I drop this much money on a car. I usually just spend 500 and drive it for a few months. Not anymore. Time for a real sports car!
btw
I am not a nub I know how to use the search function for my questions 8).
