Default Hello, I'm new and in a market for S2k

Hello guys, I've been a BMW guy ever since i was a teenager and now in the market for used s2000.

My cousin is selling his 02' with 57000 miles for 13000 dollars, is this a reasonable deal? the car is in good working condition

and is the driveshaft noise common in s2000?
is that mean the transmission is troubled?

thanks!

It sounds like "kahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh"

it doesn't whine or knock or anything like that..
just a constant "kahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh"

are you sure that isnt just the engine at WOT?

more like "KAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!"

Price sounds very good to me. I wouldnt sell my 02 with 59k miles for that. But that's because I'm not ready to give it up yet.

Between what revs does this "kaaaahhhhh"? Or is it constant?

It's a constant sound that doesn't stop.

it's like the car has been stripped like a racing car and actually sounds just like one. the gearbox whine.

and it has intake and exhaust.
