Default Hello from the newbie :)

Hello everyone, Just wanted to say hello to everyone here, I just got a used 01' silverstone and just joined the site. I shouldve introduced myself first before posting on other topics . I actually just got this car about a week ago and already took it in for the TSB of the clutch disc rattle sound problem and they didnt even question and took the car in replaced the clutch disc with the new version without a hassle and got her back. I love this car

Thanx guys

So far my first mod will be the 02/03 ECU. I was told by a friend that it was mapped differently. And this whole time I had the 01' I thought it was just me, because it felt a little different then the 03' model that I had for a few days as a testdrive. The 03' felt a little more "peppier" then the 01' I currently have. Another thing I noticed is the suspension feels "rougher" or should I say "stiffer" on the 01' model that I have versus the 03' model that I had for a few weeks, this probably could be because of the shocks maybe?? I don't know for sure. These are just small little things I picked up while having the 03' for a few days then getting the 01'. Reason for the 01' purchase was because it was about 5k cheaper then the 03'.

yep, the 01 is a bit stiffer

the 02-03 ecu is said to be different. i would guess there is a 5HP difference on average.

i cant believe that a 5hp difference could be felt.......but I could feel the motor on the 03 to be a little more pickity up versus the 01'. Im glad my friend told me this.......I thought my motor was just old or needed a tune up...hahaha
