Default Hello Rick's?

<rant>Has anyone else had problems getting parts from Rick's lately? I ordered something going on a month ago (and was charged for it the same day) and still haven't received anything. After not getting any emails for the first few days I emailed them a few times and finally got a reply back saying that it was shipping out "by Friday". Well that was 2 weeks ago and now they have stopped responding all together. I know that the part I ordered (single exhaust cap) is made by "Ztec Industries" so Rick's relies on them for the part which I would completely understand if I weren't being given the run around and now blown off all together. Their site says nothing about wait time that I saw and I would expect something telling me when it would be shipped or something. Instead I paid $130+shipping for a piece of plastic (that I would have not bought from them if someone else sold them) and have nothing to show for it. I know there are numberous posts on here complaining about their service and I was reluctant to even buy anything from them but like I said no one else makes the exhaust cap that I know of. Jeff did offer to refund my money a while back which I appreciated but again, I would just like the part that I paid for or at least know when I'll get it. I always hear in reply to posts like these that this is not their only jobs and that they all work full time jobs as well but if things are so bad that you can't take 2 minutes to write an email then maybe you should reconsider your options. I didn't even want to post something like this (although I think people should hear it) but I'm not sure what else to do since email and phone calls aren't working</rant>

i ordered the same part and got the same kind of responces. we settled it though. i havent had a bad relationship with any of the sponsors here, communication is the key and IIRC rick's and crew have day jobs as well so its not like this is all they do. Just gotta be patient.

As of yesterday morning, I have seen all email and listened to all voice mail. There was nothing recent from you, so I have to assume your messages were not getting through.

The caps are made by Nick Zaizar of Ztech. When an order is made it is forward to Nick immediately. From that point on, the ball is in Nick's court. When a customer asks us for a stauts report, all we can do is pass it on to Nick, and we have no way of providing any more information if Nick does not reply.

I saw your earlier message to Jeff and Jeff's offer of a refund. Nick is the only person making such an item, and like most S2000 suppliers, he has another full time career and does the S2000 business on the side. The S2000 is simply too small a market for anyone to make anything resemling a decent living from.

The upshot is that sometimes you have to wait for a custom S2000 accessory and you have to be patient as you wait. It's just the reality of the economics of the situation.

I've alerted Nick again to your desire to know the status of your order, and also suggested that he look at this thread.

I sent all of my emails to Nick, orders@ricks and jeff@ricks and yesterday was the last email I sent. After posting this I did get a reply from Nick saying that my part shipped yesterday if he remembers corectly. I don't know why posting here is the only way to get responses though.

trendy26, don't worry about it. Rick and Jeff are both great guys that will help you out however they can. I ordered my headlight diffusors from them and they made sure that I got them as quickly as possible because I was stupid enough to take out my headlights before I even placed an order. Like I said, they are stand up guys, and you don't have to worry about ordering from them. Ricks2k.com gets a from me! Hey Rick, any status on my Spun Aluminum Voodoo knob? -Michael.
