help with HID...
ok ...everything was fine until one night i went turn on my car and turned on the lights....all of a sudden my left HID (purple/blue tint) was flickering and then it stops...now for some reason...my right HID is yellow and brighter while my left one is purple/blue (i think the left one is the right color)
is it the HID bulb...or something else that malfunctioned?
if it is the bulb....where can i purchase one because the honda parts are selling way too much for them $150 a bulb?
facing in front:
left - purple/blue (bright) ==== right - yellow (brighter)

perhaps the connection to the bulb housing isnt fully intact..
have check to make sure everything is plugged in all the way?
i don't think it is your bulbs that are bad, judging from the pics and your descrption(sp) ,
another idea is the battery... are there any other problems relating to electronic power?
but i thik you should check all wires, and plugs, and connections, IMO that is what is wrong.

My drive's side low beam just flicked and now does not work. I did a search. There is a tread that says the light should last and that the probelm may be an inverter. The tread suggested it was a warrrenty ideam. I am taking my car to the dealer tomorrow to find out. The owners manual say that the dealer should repair the low beam. Page 194
Can you take a picture of the beams shining against a blank wall? (Like a garage door?) It almost looks like your passenger beam isn't aimed properly...
Other people have reported a headlight not coming on, but simply turning the switch off and on again fixed that.

im told that the aiming of the driver's side beam is suppose to be lower so it won't blind the people ahead of you....its lower than the passenger side...but its hella brighter now..(yellow bright)
The bulb may have been knocked loose. It looks like the light is too far inward. I would suggest you use a torx driver and remove the cover for the HID bulb. Check that it's not loose or tilted. The bulb may have been loose and whatever bump you hit may have moved it out of place. I doubt that there's something wrong the bulb or the ballast.
Loose wires and bulbs won't change the COLOR of the light produced. Your pics show a considerable difference.
Looks like something Honda will have to diagnose for you.
Just alot of guessing so far on this thread.

My problem was very similar to yours. The driver side stayed nice and bright, but the passenger side headlight turned into a dimmer blue color. Took the car to the dealer, and they went ahead and replaced both bulbs under warranty (and that fixed it for me). Of course, that's just my experience, this problem might be something totally different.
well the thing is ...i brought it to the dealer and they told me i had to pay for it...they said the bulb is a regular maintenance thing and that it is not under warranty...my bro is bringing it back monday to the dealer...any suggestions...well the car is 01' ...is it still under warranty?
