help with HID...
Wow, I think you posted more pics of the S then Honda did when the car was first introduced to the public in '00.
I would presume, since both lights are operational, that it is an aiming issue. I believe the lights can be aligned, just as regular projectors, so that would be my first approach.
If it is definitely not an adjustment issue, and they fail to help you in warrantee it, speak with the service manager and explain your situation in a polite manner. Mention that this is a safety issue, for you and oncoming traffic, so it would be in their best interest to fix it. If he is of no help, let him know you will be contacting AHM then go to another dealer that someone locally can recommend in your area, from the "clubs" forum.
HTH!

Never seen that before but i've had my pass side go out after turning on my headlights. Turning them off and back on fixed that problem.
It looks like your headlights are not aligned properly. Or maybe the ballast is going out.

I have been researching this topic lately, since my driver's side HID bulb went out. The newer the bulb is, the more it tends to be yellow in color. As it ages, it turns a darker blue/purple. If you replace just one bulb, you will see the difference.
I called my local Honda dealer and was told this is a normal maintenance item and 1) It is a special order part and 2) the price is $175 per bulb. Since my car is out of warranty (38,000 miles), I started looking around the internet for a better price. I found an aftermarket dealer that is selling the OEM bulbs for $89.99.
In order to determine what was bad on my car, I switched the bulbs from side to side. As soon as I pulled the bulbs out, it was very evident where the trouble was. The good bulb has a slightly yellow center where the salts are and the bad one was black.
A bit of advice, if you have a bad HID light and want to fix it, pull the bumper off and make your life MUCH easier. It takes about 15 minutes or so to pull the bumper and then you can get to everything easily. Once I had the headlight ass'y on the table, it was no problem to put everything back together again. A word of caution when removing the HID bulbs: be very careful with the bulb. They are very fragile and will break easily. Also do not touch the bulb envelope. The acid in your fingerprint will etch the glass and may cause it to explode. If you touch the glass bulb, wipe it off with alcohol before installing it. If you are not comfortable with this level of mechanical appitude, take it to the dealer.
