Default HELP: How to remove shoe polish on rear window (2002)

I got married on Sunday and they wrote "Just Married" in white shoe polish on my rear windows (2002 S2000). I tried cleaning it off with Windows and Simple green to no avail. The car sat out in the sun with the "Just Married" shoe polish. What can I use to remove it?

Thanks in advance

Use a razor blade and just scrap it off. I assume it is on the outside?

Yes, but would that scratch the rear window? I thought the window is not actually glass on the convertible top. Isn't some sort of hard plastic? Please excuse my ignorance.

I think if you're real careful and don't get any on the top, you might be able to use acetone (finger nail polish remover). That might work.

I thought it was glass. Maybe you shouldn't use the acetone.

Goo-Gone works wonders.

You can also use nail polish remover.

Once it's off, just be sure to wipe any residue with glass cleaner. Gotta keep it off the vinyl.
