Default Help I have a Problem
My problem is when i am driving and trying to rev past 8k rpm in any gear it doesn't let me it feels like when you car is cold and you try to get into vtec...has anybody had this problem.

What kind of oil are you using? Has it been changed recently?

I am using Mobil 1 synthetic and i just changed the oil.

Did you have 3 bars on your temp gauge? Vtec wont engage if your car is not warmed up.

Yes i had 3 bars, and been driving around for a while, it feels like i don't have 3 bars and trying to hit vtec same feeling

It might be time to take it to Honda and have them check it out. I had thought bad fuel. It might be your computer.

Do you have any mods? Like a VAFC? When one of the wires wasn't connected right on my VAFC it woudn't rev past 8k. It felt like power loss then hitting a wall at 8k.

check oil level
if the oil level is low vtec won't engage
