Default HELP! I need a good excuse to avoid my honey-do list!

I'd much rather go drive my S2000 on this beautiful sunny day, but I have a honey-do list a mile long.

What's a good excuse I can use to tell my wife why I didn't "get anything done" today so I can go driving instead???

I'd bring her with me on the drive but she made me promise to drive civilized with her in the car. (And we all know that's no fun.)

You mean she's at work and your home? Then do what I did once (and only once): lie. Tell her one of your back tooth fillings came out and you had to drive out to the dentist to have it refilled again. If she says "why didn't you call me?" just say you didn't want to worry her.

Now get out there because it is an awesome day today! I can see Mt. Tam from Berkeley. I'm outta work early, too! Maybe I'll see ya on the road this afternoon.

lol, I got some passes for valentines day saying I can tell her to off once and not get in trouble They don't seem that useful until occasions such as this arise Then I understand the sentiment behind them.

Yeah I'd divorce her except she'd stick it to me in court and get the car.

OK, to stay off the hook (and be happy) - you have to do both. Go for a drive (I'm sure you can come up with some excuse of an errand amongst that whole Honey-Do list) ... and then get at least a little of the List done.

- Kathy, the great compromiser

(Perry, are you the one I met at Buttonwillow in September - I was in a red S2K?)
