If the gas cap was not screwed on tightly (at least 3 clicks), the light may come on.

Well first you need to tell us if it's the Maint Req'd light or Check Engine light. They are different. If it's Check Engine and your gas cap is on past 3 clicks, go to the dealer and have it serviced. If it's the Maint Req'd light don't worry about it, just reset it.

Depends on the dealer I guess. Call them in the morning and tell them whats up. You will likely get it looked at tomorrow, if not, go to a different dealer. They don't give a rat's ass if you bought it from them or not.

Just a thought, have you considered trading it in for an '01? You could probably arrange a straight swap if you work it right. You wont have that "don't know where it's been" problem hanging over you.

well it's safe...it was a air temp. gauge error. the tech looked at the reading, looked okay, so he reset it.

trading it in? prolly...i don't know...i really want a silver one now...i'll prolly have to pay a good markup on it anyway...maybe when the blue ones come out (if)
