Default Help me with my Exhaust!

Ok guys i got the single 3inch lovefab exhaust. You know the bar that goes across the bottom that we need to take out to remove the stock exhaust system? I cant put it back in because the piping is in the way. My questions is, do we need the bar there? Plus the exhaust piping is rubbing up again the right ride of the metal piece where the bar bolts up too. How do i fix this problem?

I think You should get the HKS exhaust its the best one i think if you want great sound but if you want a lot of HP dont even bother because it will only give you like 5whp i think.

no problem, just drive with the bar off and the piping bumping for a few days. Then, this weekend, take your car to a local exhaust shop and have them adjust your hangers a little bit. Should do the trick.

That bar is a brace and is to reduce flex on the rear of the car. I would recommend that you get it moddified to be on the car. If you fabricate a bar that will allow the the exhaust to pass through to the rear, I would do that. Shouldn't be much of a project.

I am, for now, until I go turbo. I dynoed the car. Gain a bit almost everywhere (no power loss). Mine was custom made using true mandrel bent sections from the test pipe back w/ a bullet resonator and Apexi world sport 80mm muffler. Very tight fit . We used 2 washers for the bar that krazyguy316 talked about to lowered it down a bit and cleared everything beautifully.

As for the sound, very unique and I love it. For normal driving, gets really deep between 3000 and 3500 rpm (bit loud). Very quite when cruising below 3000 rpm and above 4k (highway speed). WOT after vtec, gets really loud like a race car and very unique. My friends all give .

Right now I'm using 63mm (2 1/2") test pipe and really want to get a 70mm. That should help my top end even more. Next I'll get EMS that will allow me to tweak the timing. With the kind of flow i'm getting now, timing will help substantially.
