Hey, I have seen some of you (may be all) have a pair of air deflector (that's what I call it) between your nose of S2000 and front tires (see a picture below), which my S2000 does not have. Do they come with your S2000 or what? Am I just starting to experience BS from my HONDA dealer?
The dealer is supposed to install the air dams as part of the PDI procedure. If he didn't do that he may not have done the other stuff. Make sure the spring spacers have all been removed and the shipping holes plugged. You need to go over the PDI procedure with the service manager.
I've noticed that a lot of the 2001 models didn't come with the air deflectors in front of the tires. Not sure if all of the 2001's didn't get them, or if the dealers just didn't put them on.
tokyo_james! You are right, but I'm talkin' about aero dams that missing from the picture. Furthermore, according to other threads, you have to pay to get those aero dams in Japan.
The picture is of the ends of the OEM Front Lip Spoiler....and no it does not come stock. The pictured car is also missing the stock lower air deflectors. There are two lower black plastic pieces about the size of a 3X5 card under each front well. These pieces are not included in the JDM market car but are standard on US cars. They are not installed for transportation clearance reasons (same as the spring spacers), steep angle of entry on the "big boat" from Japan. They are also what you hear scrape periodically when you go into a steep driveway or dip. The dealers miss these sometimes and you should find them in the center well of the trunk. Lift up the panel where the tool kit is stored this is where they are located during shipping....if their not their bitch to the dealer. They probably didn't put them on as the lip spoiler option was installed.
