Default Help me save mileage on my S

I just posted in the So. Cal. forum, but all help is appreciated....

I need some help from some of my So. Cal. members. My girlfriend got into an accident last week and totaled her car (Not my S) Anyway, I am trying to help her find a used car that is reliable, around $3,000, that she could possibly make payments on (through the kindness of the sellers heart ) If anyone has any leads I would really appreciate it. We are in the market for either a minivan or a 4 door sedan. Thank guys!

My 03 NFR S also thanks you for helping keep the mileage down, since I have been communting her to work and back.

My gf did the same thing and we got her a $3000 '98 ford contour. I'm guessing some people will knock on the reliability of them, but it's run perfectly since we bought it- a month ago.. It aint's pretty, but that's why we have the S...

With a $3k, I wouldn't worry about depreciation so much. I'm hoping to get a beater sometime soon. And I mean BEATER... as in 500 bucks. Not sure what to get yet..

Go for a Kia - I think you can ge their cheapest model NEW for $7k...which means you could get a 1-3 year old low milage under warranty for $3k I'd think
