Thumbs up Help needed... New S2k ordered and have questions

Hi all,

I have a new S2k waiting to clear customs and have not even sat in one yet... The thing is that the dealer doesn't have a demo or even a used car for me to play with so I am a little concerned if I will fit.

First does the car have a tilt steering column?

Secondly I am a big guy 5'11" 275lbs does anyone have problems driving the car?

Thanks for the help.. The car should be in early next week.

Since you are now waiting for the car to clear customs, I'm assuming that you've already bought it. Isn't it a bit late to be worrying about whether or not you'll "fit"?
BTW, there have been posts here from people much taller than you and weight about the same and more that own and drive this car without any major issues.

275? you might be little too big. i am 6'0" 200 and i fit just about right i guess. you will still have to duck down to see the stop light.

i have a buddy that loves my car.. he is about your size.. it well depend on your length of legs.. if you are torso tall .. "is that a word"?
you will be ok.
he struggled with the legs.. and the first thing he did was try to adjust the steering wheel.. nope.. not there..

he managed to drive and enjoy.. then bought an element.

It depends on what your used to... At that height and weight, you must be a wider sized guy like myself... It will be a little tough but you might not notice if your used to smaller cars. I owned a 2002 and it was a snug fit @ 235lbs/5'9.5". Now I have been driving the TL for awhile and sat in an '05 S yesterday, I immediately felt confined and unsure about it being so tight, even with the added shoulder room. But I am now 250lbs, so there goes the extra space.... hehe... It's funny, my friends and I have always referred to the S as "the squeeze". If you don't like it you just won't have it as long as ya thought, big deal... happens everyday.

Well I was considering the Lotus Elise... So small is good in my eyes. I ended up finding one to sit in yesterday and loved it. And to add icing to the cake, got a call from the broker that I will not have to wait.. He found a Silverstone one and will be delivering it tomorrow... Can't wait!

I'm 6'-2" and 220LB. I have more space in my Elise than in the S2000. However, I'm lowering the seat rails in the S2000 and make something to replace the door handle (foldable or soft), to give my upper legs more room.
