HELP, Paint problem.

There is a shop called "Troy's Honda" in Tuscaloosa, Alabama that does excellent paint work on Honda's. I don't know much about painting, but I have heard that they duplicate the process and paints used by Honda. I heard that you will pay thousands for the job, but it will be perfection. In about 5 years, I will have my black S repainted by them to get rid of those damn chips on the nose.

I had a Super Sonic Blue (blue, purple, pearl, metallic) 99 Integra GSR that I bent. My body shop matched the job so well you (not even the Acura dealership at lease turn in) could not tell there was damage or a repaint.
I think the skill of the shop in dealing with metallic pearls is the issue. The shop that fixed my GSR was about 25% more expensive on the repair but the quality of work was well worth it - IMHO

[B]The car is a Suzuka Blue (code B-513M). I had to have the LF fend and hood repainted due to flying piece of wood. The body shop has painted the car 4 times and color just does not come out correct. The last time it was painted with a factory pack from the PPG store. The paint

Well it has been a little over a month and a different paint supply store finally got the paint close enough that it is very very hard to see the difference
. So now the car is painted and just needs a little more color sanding and buffing and then it is done.

Glad to hear it worked out.
For anyone who interested here's some codes I picked up on a different thread:
Colors - Paint Codes & Years:
RED - New Formula Red [R-510] all MYs
WHITE - Grand Prix White [NH-565] all MYs
BLACK - Berlina Black [NH-547] all MYs
SILVER - Silverstone Metallic [NH-630M] MYs
It is a PPG paint, just a different store here was able to do the match. The color is a little darker, but not much.
The paint was blended into the doors, and you only see the difference due to the front bumper, which may get repainted too.
The big thing is that it is a match that I can live with.
