I need a little help. I need to remove the coinholder.
I fished around in the console this weekend, but without much success.

It appears I may need to remove the cupholder first just to get to the coinholder.

Help! Any info is appreciated.

Did you remove the center console plastic yet? I though the coin holder was screwed to the bottom of that.

Check out http://www.ricks2k.com under the installation link for the center console cover and you will see how to remove the plastic.

You have to remove the cupholder, then you have to remove the plastic retaining brakcet from the coin holder, then you have to yank realy hard to get the clip to release that is under the perforated arm rest part.

 

Um, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but check your VIN against that necessary for a hardtop install kit. I don't remember the number offhand, but part of that install kit for MY00 cars is the center console. You get it because the coinholder in the first few thousand cars wasn't removeable.
