Default HELP!!! Is there a proble in my engiine???

I posted previously about my low oil levels in my car. I was down to my last X at 650 miles. Now I'm at about 700 miles and I am at the L level. Someone stated there may be something wrong with my car. Does this seem normal???? I will be adding Mobil Non synthetic oil today. BTW there are no oil on the floor where I park overnight. I am puzzled right now??? Thanks.

It does not seem normal and I have seen your other thread in regards to this. Take it to the dealer. Have them look at it.

Perfectly normal for a new car. Takes up to 5000 miles for consumption to stabilize. Do a search on oil consumption.

Did you check the oil under the same conditions each time? (i.e. when the engine is hot, warm, cold)
This will effect the level you are reading.

I only had to add 2qt's in 3,700 miles so I agree 2 qt's in 700 miles is more than normal.

The bottom of the X marks is 2 quarts? Hmm.

In any case, RoBD305, I'm curious how you've broken in the car...

I believe you should always check the oil when the car is cool and has been sitting for a while. If you check it when the car was just shut off there is still oil running down from the oil passages and will not give you an accurate reading.
