Default help- wet sanding messed up paint!

I attempted to fix a paint chip by wet sanding with 1500 grit sandpaper after using the touch-up paint. Then i polished. However, the wet-sanding left a dull area around the touch-up area. I used Zaino polish. Should I have used another polish? How do I get rid of the dull areas. I thought this was supposed to be easy like many of you on here say it is.

Use some light polishing compound to bring back the gloss in that spot.

No, that is a finish. Just go to the auto store and get Turtle Wax White Polishing Compound (NOT rubbing compound). It will cost two bucks and you will use almost none of it.

get a high speed buffer... not an orbital buffer and it will buff right out... use a foam pad as well so you dont swirl the paint...

It is easy, but requires experience and patience. The more touch up you do, the better you get, and the less hazing you will get. To remove the hazing, try a polish such as the Meguair's DACP.

First try using any kind of car wax first. If that doesn't do it, try Turtle wax "light" rubbing compound.

You can find that at any Wal-mart, Pep Boys, etc. About $2.00. It's a light rubbing compound and WILL NOT scratch your finish and gets most scratches/haze out. This really works wonders. When you are done, follow-up with normal wax over the area.

If it's down super deep, it won't get that out and will most likely need repainting, or a touch-up stick so it's not that noticeable.
