Default Help! what is this part?

I just bought a 2001 Civic EX and I'm not familiar with everything yet. I found this part under the front driver's bumper this morning. What is it? Where does it go?

I know it's not an S2000 but nobody's on the Civic board and the guys/gals are more informed over here. For what it's worth, I do want to buy an S2000 once the kids are off my payroll.

It's your Heisenberg Compensator...the hyperdrive won't work till you put it back under the seat.

It's not an OEM part or fastener.

Too funny guys. They moved it and I had to search to find my own thread.

It's about 1 3/4" long and black plastic, looks clean and dry so I'm thinking somewhere in the intake, airbox area. It looks new to me so I'm really perplexed. Is there a vacuum line on the VTEC which uses one of these? PVC related maybe?

What about air temp sensor (cover) part? Do Honda cars have a sensor tied to the ECU for external air temp?
