This sounds really stupid, but I was putting my wifes snowtires on her CRV and both front wheels are stuck on (lugs are off). I pulled and can't bet them off.

I never had this problem before. Before I take it to the shop to have them remove them I was wondering if anyone has ever had a similar situation.

Thanks,

Jim

We have that happen with our Accord *every* time we rotate the tires. I guess the tolerances are just really tight. We just knock the tire (kick it?) until it pops off. No harm done, assuming that your problem is the same as ours.

I had the same trouble on the S2K after getting the wheels back from chroming. The extra thickness of chrome around the center hole on one of the wheels made it a smaller diameter, and therefore was a tight fit on the hub. A neighbor who used to be a service manager got it off for me. He just turned his back to the car and kicked backwards against each side of the tire until the wheel came loose. When it was off, I just took a round file to remove the excess chrome, and return the opening to the normal diameter. Hope this works for you.

Success.

Just changed the tires. Didn't want to kick them since the car was not on stands.

I had to wedge the lug nut wrench between the caliper and wheel while being carefull not to put an indent in the wheel.

Looks like rust caused the problem.

Thanks for the replies, it is great to know that when someone has a problem you guys are there to offer help.

When I worked at the tire store (years ago), this was quite a common think. Since we had lifts, it was easy (and acceptable) to kick the tires until they came right off.

Sometimes, its about all you can do. But glad you got em off.
