I know you guys are going to flame me for this but here goes. I do take my car through the touchless car washes. Why? Well given the choice between not washing the car at all or going through one of those I choose to do it. You see, living in northern minnesota sucks if you don't have a garage that is heated with a floor drain to wash your car yourself. I don't even have a garage so there is no way I could even wash it myself if I wanted to. In the summertime it is a different story, but we all know that winter is the dominant season here. The way I see it I would rather run it through one of those and get the underbody sprayed off at the same time than to let the salt sit on the car and rust. The only problem I get from running through these is some water makes it by the door seal but not enough to worry about. Anybody disagree?

Oh that guy - the guy that responded by saying we treat our cars like babys bums, and its only a car, blah, blah, blah.
I think enough people gave HIM a piece of their mind.

This post: "Helpful Hints" was just to provide a helpful hint to those that are considering going thru a car wash. As we all know it is not the best decision.

Thus, the question still remains:
Why is Lafayette, LA telling me to "give it a rest" ?

I just don't follow

Well Arizona,

You and the fellow from Ontario were in it pretty bad together.

I thought you started a new thread to kind of rub it in.

I didn't mean to come off edgy (as you do).

As far as your decision, I am behind you 100%.

What's the deal with calling me Lafayette, LA ?

Is it supposed to insult me?

I don't follow.

Well guys, I have and will continue to commit this sin. I take my car through the soft cloth carwash on a regular basis, but next spring when the hard top comes back off, yes i'll start washing and waxing it by hand again. I go to Mikes Express Carwash, and although I wouldn't recommend it with the soft top, i've seen Miata owners drive through it. However, I was staring at a Miata, and it appears that their tops are made of a more durable material that appeared more vinyl like, and less cloth like. In case anyone has any suggestiosn, the website for the carwash is

http://www.mikescarwash.com

hey by me we have real hand wash places so thats who washes my car. There is no track no machines they sit there with the hose and wash you car the traditional way. My car is much too low to fit in any car wash anyway!

I get a little edgy when people rub ME the wrong way (as you did).

If you can call me "Arizona", then why do you get defensive when I call you Lafayette?
This post is your unsolicited opinion; the quote is you responding to the negative feedback from myself.

Make sense, then respond.
