Default Hey Rick build one of these for me!

I've always thought the mesh wind deflector like the Z3 was a good idea so I hacked one up. I used pet screen from Lowe's and 6 grommets and 2 bungie cords. It took all of 15 minutes to make and it works great and looks ok from a distance. I simply cut the mesh 14" wide by 54" long. Folded over the mesh 3/4" on the bottom and put grommets in to line up with the four top cover snaps behind the head rests. I then put grommets in the two upper corners and bungied them to the seat rails via the cargo hooks behind the seats. I'm pleased how it works and it doesn't make oscillation noise like the extended plexi types. Also visibility out is fine. Oh and the top easily goes up and down with it installed and you can still open the secret compartment. The thing can be put on or off in less than a minute. (The mesh actually looks better than the pictures show. I think the mesh messes up the digital picture.)

OK Rick, I've done the prototype now you make a buck out of it. Sign me up for the first one.

Yeah. The pictures make it look a lot denser than it is. No problem at all seeing through it.

Yikes. Take it down!

Actually saw one of Rick's or Mingster's windscreens on a silver S2000 today. Looked good! Where can I get one of these? Which one's better?

That's great! You can use to capture small flying mammals and large insects!

IMO. . .it looks horrible and very "tacky!" But hey, that my opinion!

Hey give a guy a break! In person it doesn't have such a chainmale look. Like I said its a prototype. I like the look of the fitted Z3 (and boxster?) windscreens. Plus I think they work better, don't scratch up, don't interfer with the top or glove box.
Actually I haven't put on any of the plexi ones because to me they look .... well plastic.
