Default HIDs

Does anyone here have these?

Are they any good and will they fit on an AP1?

Why would you want rebased HID bulbs?

You need D2S bulbs, not rebased/conversion bulbs.

Please explain what you mean. I don't know much about the S2k yet as I will be acquiring one if all goes according to plan this weekend. In the meantime I'm just shopping for parts in readiness for when I get the car. I am under the assumption that the standard headlights are not HIDs and I would need to get the whole conversion kit, ie. ballast, bulb, ignitor the whole lot? I cannot stand oem Halogen bulbs as I have done the conversion on my NSX, I don't think I will ever look back to using halogens again..

Even on the AP1?

OK if this is the case then does that mean all I have to do to change the colour temp is simply to just replace the bulbs themselves?

The OEM lights are an HID setup.
Only the low beams are HID. The high beams are Halogen.

DON'T DO IT MAN...

You haven't even driven the car yet...

Once, you drive it at night... You'll realise how silly you were for wanting to "upgrade" the perfect stock setup.

You can always upgrade your lowbeam bulbs to 6000K http://www.xenonfactory.com/

If all you want is a more blueish look to your headlights, then all you need is to get a pair od DS2 HID bulbs in 6000k or 8000k and it should be a srraight swap with your factory bulbs. but don't expect them to be a "performance" upgrade or any upgrade at all for that matter. since the higher colored bulbs put out less lights on the road.
